Morbid obesity (MO) is a chronic and multifactorial disease associated with remarkable physical and psychological complications, that can negatively affect quality of life and shorten life expectancy.
In most of the cases of MO the regular hygienic-dietetic and pharmacological measures are insufficient to control weight loss and associated comorbidities. Till now, bariatric surgery is the only therapeutic way in which long run expectation can be achieved.
